At Edulution, passing the torch means more than just training—it’s about empowering young people to lead, inspire, and transform communities.
One of the brightest examples of this philosophy is Dabwitso Mweemba, whose journey with Edulution embodies resilience, growth, and the power of opportunity.
Originally from Mazabuka, in Zambia’s Southern Province, Dabwitso was a learner supported by Pestalozzi International, where he graduated from high school with excellent grades. When he was 18 he was selected to join Edulution as a trainee coach in 2016.

From day one, Dabwitso stood out—not only for his intelligence, but for his humility, curiosity, and drive to grow. He quickly rose through the coaching ranks, from Assistant Coach all the way to Gold Coach.
Additionally, when Namibia launched its Edulution program, Dabwitso was there to help set up centres, train local coaches, and embed Edulution’s culture and systems. In 2022, when seven new centres opened in Mpumalanga, South Africa, Dabwitso helped recruit and develop a brand-new cohort of South African coaches, empowering them to take ownership of their centres.
“I frequently travel for work, both inside Zambia and across Namibia and South Africa. I enjoy training new coaches because each training period offers me a new opportunity to learn, to grow, and to pass on the torch to the next generation,” Dabwitso reflects.
Today, Dabwitso continues to make a profound impact. He currently serves as a Technical Support Analyst at the Edulution Hub in Lusaka, supporting the technical operations of Edulution programs in both Zambia and South Africa.
In this role, Dabwitso is part of the critical team responsible for ensuring that Edulution’s technology infrastructure runs efficiently and reliably across all centres. He provides first-line technical support and works closely with the Tech Development team to improve system functionality. His work ensures that data from thousands of learners flows seamlessly into Edulution’s analytics engine, enabling data-driven decisions and timely support interventions. For this reason, Dabwitso is instrumental in ensuring that technology becomes an enabler, not a barrier.
“I love working in tech because I can see the full picture — how learners are performing, how coaches are engaging, and how the system can be improved to better support learning. Technology is the engine, and we need to keep it running smoothly for everyone,” says Dabwitso.
Dabwitso’s story is a powerful testament to Edulution’s human development model. What started as an opportunity to become a coach evolved into a multi-faceted career that has touched lives meaningfully in three countries and continues to influence the technical evolution of one of Africa’s most innovative education programs.
At Edulution, coaches like Dabwitso are not just employees—they are changemakers, role models, and living proof that Africa’s future is bright when youth are empowered. And so, the torch continues to be passed — not just to learners, but to entire communities. Because when one person like Dabwitso rises, they lift others with them.
