South Africa Programme

Our proven, facilitated digital learning model can remedy two of South Africa’s biggest crises: poor education outcomes and high youth unemployment.

Country-Specific Challenge

Learners left behind in the classroom are ultimately left out of the economy.

In crowded classrooms, even the most dedicated teachers struggle to meet the needs of every child and as a result, large numbers of learners are not achieving basic numeracy and literacy. This foundational learning gap is a systemic crisis and the starting point for South Africa's devastating youth unemployment.

Addressing this challenge requires more than a catch-up programme; it demands equipping the system and its educators with the tools to rebuild opportunity and reshape the future for an entire generation.

A Nation-Wide Solution

Strengthening the system from within

Lasting change happens from inside the system. We provide a proven, scalable blended learning model that not only helps learners catch up but is built for full adoption by the public education system.

By focusing on teacher empowerment and seamless integration with the national curriculum, we are creating a permanent pathway to better outcomes for every child, while tackling youth unemployment at the same time.

Our Impact

A proven pathway to national adoption

We currently operate in Mpumalanga through our implementation partner, Penreach. We have reached thousands of learners, demonstrating strong improvements in numeracy, high engagement, and high retention of locally recruited learning assistants.

Our Strategy

Empowering teachers as the cornerstone of the programme

While initially Edulution only provided direct support to learners, our focus in South Africa has evolved to empower the most critical resource in every classroom: the teacher.

Our programme is designed to seamlessly integrate into the school day. It is curriculum-aligned and embedded into the timetable, providing teachers with the tools, training, and real-time data they need to help every learner succeed. By automating routine practice and assessment, we free teachers to focus on high-impact instruction, transforming their classrooms and their learners futures.

“We have seen a dramatic increase in examination pass grades: from 10% to 70%.”

“Edulution is one of the best things to happen to our school. It has provided a foundation for children to progress into Secondary School.”

Our Strategy

Endorsed by the education system, with a goal of national adoption

Our model is not just effective; it's built to be adopted.

Edulution has secured Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with the Departments of Education in both Mpumalanga and Gauteng, alongside endorsement from national education authorities.

Donor funding is the bridge that allows us to provide the proof, infrastructure, and momentum needed to take this innovation from a successful project to a becoming a permanent part of part of South Africa’s public education system.

Let's close the gap

Our model is proven, and our impact is clear. But to reach every learner who needs us, we need partners who share our vision. If you are a funder, government agency, or implementing organisation, let's connect.

Together, we can build a stronger education system for South Africa.
